这是与微软和大英齐名的电子百科全书。版权现在归巴菲特所有。听说曾经是盖茨小时候最喜欢的百科全书，当然那时他看的不是电子版，而是厚厚的几十本。我想这也是后来启发他开发encarta的原因吧。使用下来的感受是他的界面比微软和大英简朴，多媒体内容不如微软那么多，所以容量也要比微软小很多。但是它文字也比微软简洁易懂，所以更适合当工具书阅读。也适合英语学习者学习。
