The power metal influence from their previous album is all but gone, now they're pretty much black/folk metal with some thrashy parts. The Arcanum also has Suidakra's best keyboards. I wish Daniela would have stayed with the band, their Signs for the Fallen album would be ever better if it had epic keyboards like The Arcanum. Album hilights: Dragonbreed - Three minutes through the song you get a prime example of the neck breaking, ass kicking intensity of the album. Rise of Taliesin - Best acoustic song ever. Gives you a nice break from the aggression. This reminds me of what the songs that the dwarves and elves played in Tolkien's The Hobbit would sound like. The Arcane Spell - Wow.... Just wow. This songs kicks way too much ass to describe. No.2: I've got the previous album to this one and absolutely love it so I HAD to pick this up right away !! I REALLY (emphasize REALLY) like this band. Perhaps it's because they have Celtic and Folk influences in their black metal style/melodic death combo or perhaps it's that they covered 'The One Piece Puzzle' by SKYCLAD on this release !!! Either way this one is an extremely enjoyable listen. There's great harmony in the vocals which variate between clean and scratchy/deathy. The acoustic parts interspersed throughout temper the speedier, heavier parts very well. The flow of this album is smooth and precise and features very melodic guitarwork. 资源转自MMT 专辑曲目: 1.
