专辑介绍： 一支来自日本的歌德堡之声，从下面的介绍中就可以知道乐队深受大敌等旋律死的影响。 女主唱，乐队的技术还不错，做的东西也很顺耳。 喜欢旋律死的可以听听。 Given the massive success of melodic death metal acts like Arch Enemy, Children Of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity and In Flames in the land of the rising sun, it was probably only a matter of time until we were able to witness the first promising Japanese offspring of the style originally spawned on Sweden's west coast in Gothenburg. However, it wasn't until the five-piece Shadow from Osaka came up with their self-titled debut album that worldwide audiences would take note that the Far East territory can also easily compete in terms of songwriting ability, technical skills and a catchy approach with their scene-leaders from Scandinavia. 1993 marked the beginning of the band's activities when bass player Yoshio "Cain" Kubo started taking action in finding members who would join his band to create an intense mixture of melody and brutality in metal. The guitar-duo Yuichi Sumimoto and Shinichiro Okada soon teamed up with Kubo, being just the right match for Shadow, but it wasn't until changing drummers lead to the discovery of Mitsuhiro Enomoto to build the instrumental base of the act. Without having a suitable vocalist lined up, Shadow recorded their debut demo during the winter of 1997 with a session vocalist and nevertheless managed to achieve some remarkable attention behind the lines of the underground scene, including a very impressed Sami Tenetz from Spikefarm Records. Shadow demo'd once more for the label and were quickly offered a record deal due to the promising nature of the new material. The following nine-song self-titled debut album was recorded during the Fall and Winter of 2000 in the Japanese studio Free People as well as Sound Recording Cooper and later mixed to perfection by Mikko Karmila (Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, etc.) at Finnvox Studio in Finland. Their eponymous album includes superbly catchy melodic death metal in the vein of early Arch Enemy and Dark Tranquillity with excellent individual musicianship, vicious guitar-melody extravaganzas and mind-blowing, direct songs allowing Shadow to make a positive and unforgettable impression within the scene. However, what's also sure to have heads turning their way is the fact their female (!) vocalist Tokiko Shimamoto belongs among the most aggressive front-ladies ever to be involved with death metal.
