专辑介绍： For Karate's Fishtank session they decided to take an unconventional approach and took on some classics. Billy Holiday's "Strange Fruit", Bob Dylan's "Tears Of Rage", "A New Jeruselem" by Mark Hollis, and four, count 'em, four Minutemen songs. For this session Karate wanted to play just thematic pieces, all critical of America in some way, as Geoff put it. Songs like the Billy Holiday classic trange Fruit? Bob Dylan ears Of Rage? Mark Hollis? New Jeruselem?or the four Minutemen up-tempo rockers. However the huge variety in character, all songs fit Karate surprisingly well, like a second skin, as it were. Instead of taking the opportunity to build enormous impro-walls it obvious that Karate felt a lot more comfortable in tight measured pieces. Each song they recorded has got a very natural feel, it grooves, it rocks, it delicate and it shows Geoff as a relaxed and soulful crooner.
