Comparing to the Swan Lake released by Opus Arte, this Ballet was simply much better. The performance did follow the flow of the music. It was lively and got the audience into the dance. The dancers were very smooth and so young and full and energy and yet they get you into the mood. And It can be so enjoyable. Unfortunately ... Video: The standard simply does not reach what Opus Arte can do. What are these video producer and engineers thinking ? There are many out of focus scenes. The video pan it so close to the dancer (many scenes) that you get dizzy watching it especially if you have large screen. (I am watching it on a small 80 inch screen). It also does not allow the disc audience to view and appreciate the arrangement. There are many sharp sceens as well and I cannot simply understand how they can let the filming and editing ruin your enjoyment. The video is disappointing. That is very unfortunate. I hope they can re-edit it. Sound: Generally good quality. Good performance on the orchestra. Good recording. Summary - very good ballet performance and artistic arrangment, let down by the video production.
