Peggy Lee从来不是一位绝对最佳的爵士女伶，（她在50年代红极一时）但我很喜欢她的声音。是我在Itunes Store里无意间遇到的一张录音，它更像民谣，融合了女声，民歌和清脆的乐器，我觉得很好的体现了Peggy Lee的声音特色。此外此张录音融合了大量中国古典诗歌元素，使曲目从其他爵士录音中脱颖而出，清新别有味道。

Its magnificent step away from usual Gershwins/Cole Porter stuff and of course it was big artistic challenge for Peggy Lee at the time when other singer were recording pop jingles.She was big star and could afford to record whatever she wanted,in this case collection of chinese poetry backed with only harp and harpsichord,truly beautiful album from the first to the last note.
