This series highlights jobs, such as: airmen who provide Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) for the Air Force; Marines who climb snowy mountains and must overcome low oxygen; Army chemical soldiers who fight a nerve gas attack; a Navy helmsman who learns to safely steer a multi-billion dollar aircraft carrier; Air Force Pararescuemen who free fall from the highest altitudes. Defending a nation is no easy task. With just one mistake, billions of dollars along with countless lives can be lost. In TOUGHEST MILITARY JOBS, viewers explore the most difficult and dangerous jobs on land, in the air, at sea and at military bases across the world. Each episode focuses on one specific area of the military and the tasks necessary to keep every soldier safe. Additionally, the series profiles the efforts necessary to keep all of the high-tech equipment operating necessary for the world's most powerful fighting force. TOUGHEST MILITARY JOBS premieres Thursday, May 13 at 9 PM (ET) on Military Channel. This May, Military Channel celebrates Military Appreciation Month, saluting all branches of the Armed Forces. Episodes Featured In Toughest Military Jobs Include: ENDURANCE Season Premieres Thursday, May 13 at 9 PM The U.S. military pushes their men and women to the absolute limits. Follow Marines as they climb snowy mountains and overcome low oxygen; Navy pilots as G-Force affects them in a human centrifuge; Air Force Pararescuemen as they free fall from the highest altitudes; Coast Guard rescue swimmers as they battle hypothermia and massive waves; and soldiers as they swelter in the desert heat. DIRT Premieres Thursday, May 20 at 9 PM Military jobs can be dangerous and extreme, but they can also be downright dirty. This episode shows the lesser known but essential jobs in the military that put men and women in situations that would make many cringe, showcasing the grit behind the glory and featuring the jobs that require a long shower. DANGER Episode Premieres Thursday, May 27 at 9 PM Learn how some of the most dangerous jobs in the U.S. Military are performed. Viewers follow Air Force airmen as they trek through the forest defusing bombs; watch Air Force fire fighters extinguish a C-130 engulfed in flames; learn how Army chemical soldiers fight a nerve gas attack, and see how ammunition specialists handle dangerous munitions. BIG Season Finale Premieres Thursday, June 3 at 9 PM Learn how some of the biggest jobs in the Military are performed. Some of the jobs featured include a ribbon bridge engineer, responsible for quickly installing an improvised bridge over a river. Used in wartime operations, the bridge safely carries essential supplies to the front lines. A Navy helmsman learns to safely steer a multi-billion dollar aircraft carrier, giving an inside look at how a 100 thousand ton nuclear carrier handles in the water. An aircraft carrier deck department sailor manages a thirty-ton anchor, and Navy divers pull a Russian sub from the bottom of a river.
