On any given day, they might extract a red panda’s tooth, operate on an ailing tiger, respond to a dolphin stranding or X-ray the inside of a tuatara .The tuatara is a reptile endemic to New Zealand. Wild Vets travel all over New Zealand and its outer islands, from Northland to work with the brown kiwi to the sub-Antarctic Auckland Islands to monitor the endangered NZ sea lion. Over 13 weeks the viewer will watch & know the frustrations of working with unpredictable animals in uncontrollable conditions as well as the joy of a successful treatment or a mission accomplished.
