With this album, Ajram explores a new range of sounds and genres for the first time, and more than she did in any of her previous albums. 7 was coproduced by In2Musica and Arabica Music. The album offers a variety of styles and music genres. It received remarkable attention on the internet days before its release and collected overwhelming positive reviews from music reviews, who welcomed the new wave that Nancy presents on the record. Ajram continues her signature styles of Egyptian "Maksoum", Lebanese pop, as well as soft pop and soft rock, reminscent of Nancy's previous successes. However, she progresses into more urban and modern sounds, as well as new genres such as electropop.
