Mikey Havoc is a North Shore boy who loves his country. But something's been bugging him. He's not happy that while he lives alongside Maori his actual knowledge of Maori culture is limited. Havoc sets out to change that situation by getting up close and personal with three iwi in new local series Are You My Tribe? (tonight at 8.30pm on TV ONE).
In episode two he meets the former territorial iwi from Northland, Nga Puhi. Havoc wants to find out what makes this iwi unique from others, but also wants to learn where he fits in as a white New Zealander in New Zealand.
