This small company is located in Bad Cannstatt, Stuttgart, close to the popular Kurpark. Right from the beginning TACET moved on two new mental "tracks": musically, and in terms of recording technique. TACET produces music for the very highest of standards and most discerning of listeners: on CDs, LPs, SACDs and DVD-Audios. But that does not mean that we produce for a minority of classical music lovers; quite the contrary, in fact. The numbers of TACET fans continues to grow steadily: because TACET productions rediscover music, with all its fire and sensual attraction, and in all its natural and enacted expression. TACET means audiophile top quality products which are showered with accolades from the music critics in the music press, on radio and in the newspapers. The decisions are not made by a board of directors or managers, but by the owner and founder himself: Andreas Spreer, musician and much-praised Diplom-Tonmeister, or master sound engineer. He was awarded the honorary certificate of the “Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik”, for, among other things “..some of the most convincing multi-channel productions in the classical music sector”. As regards the sound, TACET always strives for the most “natural” result. You might be surprised to hear that with CDs this can be achieved with a minimum of technical interference, but with a maximum of planning, thought and expertise – and using the very best equipment. Unconventional thinking, (for example with the DVD-Audios) and vast expertise combine to produce musical and acoustic events which are not only remarkable but also one hundred percent convincing. TACET stands for unusual artistic ideas (each time tailor-made for CDs, for LPs, DVD-Audio and for SACDs), outstanding musical personalities and audiophile sounds. The aim of the composer is supported by the choice and type of individual recording technique. And the ideas of the performing artists are elucidated for the listener. You can convince yourself of this even more clearly and intensively than on the TACET CDs – which themselves sound exceedingly transparent and sensual.
