Shopping Companion Features Database driven system allows you to manage multiple shopping trips (files). Changes are automatically saved preventing data loss if computer shuts down or locks up. Database has fields for Store, Aisle, Product, Brand, Category, Size, Unit, Price, Per Unit Price, Discount Amount, Quantity, and Total. Store has field for Tax Rate. Files are called Trips so you can have more than one Store per Trip. Totals are calculated from the Tax Rate assigned to a Store. Coupons can be used by utilizing the Discount. Enter the Discount as an Amount or a Percentage. Import information from the older Grocery Companion product. You can also import information from a text based file. Export information to text files, html files and spreadsheet format. Print shopping lists. Items are listed according to your sort options & column order. Powerful filter dialog permits you to filter out information that you don't want to see. Sort transactions in the database with a single click. You can click a column heading twice to sort descending. Sort order is maintained when you add or edit items. Use the sort dialog to sort by more than one column. You can sort each column differently, Ascending or Descending. This makes it easy to view your list sorted first by Store, Aisle Number, Category, Product, Brand, Size, Unit, Per Unit Price, Discount Amount, and Quantity. Everything will be grouped together so your shopping trip will be easy. Hide and unhide columns in your trip files or items database. Change fonts and color. Search your files and database database. Edit any item in the database with a double-click. Compare prices by using Per Unit Price. Backup all your data to single zip file. Restore also available. Currency format is based on your Windows settings. Date format is based on your Windows settings. No more program settings dialog. Settings are where you need them. Right-click a dialog to see your options. Keep your software up to date easily. Shopping Companion has an option to Check for Updates on the Help menu. If an update is available, the program will download and install the update for you.
