专辑介绍： 对于Alan Menken大家都不陌生，所以我只提下Howard Ashman。Howard Ashman是一名剧作家，是Alan Menken的好友，两人早在1979年就开始合作了。Howard第一次为迪斯尼写歌，是《奥丽华历险记 Oliver & Company》中的“Once Upon a Time in New York City”。最初Howard对与迪斯尼的合作还是有些犹豫的。尽管一直是迪斯尼迷，当时的Howard却不得不担心：迪斯尼对像他这样的同性恋者究竟能有多少宽容？那个时候迪斯尼正在为The Little Mermaid准备剧本，David Geffen对Jeffrey Katzenberg说，Howard Ashman是个天才。不久之后，导演Ron Clements和John Musker在纽约第一次见到了Howard Ashman。据二人的回忆，Howard对于把《海的女儿》搬上银幕很感兴趣，因为他非常喜欢安徒生。从此，Alan和Howard开始加入到The Little Mermaid的创作过程中。在The Little Mermaid之前，迪斯尼的传统动画已经有一段时间相当低迷。甚至1988年Michael Eisner曾在一次采访中对动画片做了相当悲观的预测。然而尽管此前许多人认为那些经典的童话已经不再适合电影院了，但The Little Mermaid在票房和口碑上都取得了相当大的成功。后来许多人说，The Little Mermaid标志着迪斯尼动画片的复兴的开始。 这张是带demo的完整版，除去常见的20来首曲目外，还有十余首work tape & demo。说起Dieney的Demos，都快成了一个专有系列了，这次我发布的仅仅是Howard Ashman参与过的三部---------小美人鱼、美女和野兽以及阿拉丁。这些制作时的录音资料虽然不及完成品那般华丽，却也蕴藏着简单纯朴的美。 专辑曲目: 01.
