Early incarnations of the band included formative musicians guitarist Fredrik Hänhel and bassist Gustav Ljungström. Hänhel was replaced by Joacim Persson in 1987. The group's opening, self-titled demo arrived in 1988, with the 'Hang Over' session capitalising on this the following year. An EP, 'Trapped In Syberia', emerged in 1990 as another self-funded outing. This set featured backing vocals courtesy of Roland Rosenqvist and PO Larsson with acoustic guitar parts on the title track supplied by Fredrik Landh. That same year the Opinionate! Label included the FALLEN ANGEL song 'Etanolic Intoxication' on a four way split EP in collaboration with AUTHORISE, APPENDIX and NIRVANA 2002. Ljungström lost his position to Matte Hedenborg in 1990. FALLEN ANGEL frontman Johan Bülow, citing credits with DREAMGOD, ALTAR and CHAIN OF HATE, would join retro-metallers WOLF for their 2002 'Black Wings' album.
