Composed by Alain Pewzner and Patrick Leger, Solyma are a group of six male soloists and a mixed backing chorus (including eight children) who sing in four languages: Hebrew, Latin, Greek and Arabic. The style is similar to ERA and Lesi?m with original lyrics by Serge and Fabrice Talian and the choir has some very powerful voices which suit the music perfectly. Along with the voices, synthesiser backings and sampled rhythms and drumloops are a variety of traditional Middle Eastern instruments such as the oud, the Hebrew chofar (horn of ram) and the Arabic nai. The album was released in France with the sub-title Les Chant Des Hombres, and an alternate issue of this CD was released more widely in Europe without the French sub-title, but rather a label of International Version. This french proyect is like Enigma and Era (also frenches proyects) that make you fly into and beautiful journey with high performance quality music and choral.
