这是这支来自爱尔兰乐队的第2张正式作品，与他们上一张“The Last Supper”相比，乐队在这张“NADIR”中，风格发生了巨大的变化。上一张专辑略带GRINDCORE音乐元素的DEATH METAL音乐完全被这张作品中的彻头彻尾的GRINDCORE音乐所取代；而且这一变化并不是简单的百分比的变化，而是完全彻底的音乐类型的变化，这张作品的风格不可思议地变成了SHORT/CUT GRIND！或许ABADDON INCARNATE音乐本身就更适合演奏碾核音乐，这一回给我的感觉比上一张舒服多了。上一张专辑中怎么听怎么别扭的嘶吼唱腔在这张作品中则令我感到比较自然；而除此之外，乐队还加上了一个极其尖厉的唱腔，刺耳的程度丝毫不亚于一些BLACK METAL乐队的唱腔。而无论是鼓，还是吉它RIFF，基本上都是典型的散乱的、放射状的碾核音乐形式，较整齐的小节并不多见。整张专辑听下来，有些类似于诸如NASUM、BIRDFLESH一类的瑞典碾核乐队的风格。ABADDONINCARNATE的这张专辑无论是激烈度，还是技术，都比上张作品有了不小的进步，但坦率地讲，我依然觉得这张作品个性不太突出，值得回味的听点不多。对于乐队来说，如何在进一步提高技术的基础上找到一条最适合自己的音乐形式是最重要的课题。
Ireland's ABADDON INCARNATE return with their ultrabrutal second album. Recorded in Soundlab Studios, Sweden, and produced by Mieszko of Nasum (Relapse), "Nadir" provides a musical fist in the face with its weighty production and hammering speed. Cold and grim artwork by Paul McCarroll compliments the lyrical exploration of humanity's grotesque and macabre face. Formed in '91 as Bereaved, they released two demos before landing a deal with France's Season of Mist records (Mayhem, Nocturnus). Now resident here at Sentinel they have delivered certainly the finest in pure extremity that Ireland has delivered to this day.
