Alex's smooth voice compliments the vibrant and rhythmic sound of the guitars and of Jason's thrashing drum beats. The music sounds like a mix between the Beatles and Weezer, if that is possible. It's the kind of album that when I listen to it, it brings back nostalgic memories of a certain period of time in my life. Phantom Planet is Missing has many more catchy lyrics and riffs than their newest album, "The Guest" which has been recieving acclaim from both MTV and radio. These two albums are very different and i'm still unsure as to why the Phantom Planet is Missing album wasn't nearly as successful as their newest album, "The Guest" has been.
