The sound quality is much improved from their first single and even compared to their third single there’s an improvement, and improvement is definitely a good thing. Track one, "Murder Toy in the Closet" is a fun sounding song with a circus-like sound to it, which is added to by the "da da da da la da da da da daaaa"-ing throughout the song. The lyrics have horror as their theme as usual and talk of dolls hiding in closets and stabbing people and other general craziness. When combined with the manic laughter, they actually give the song even more of a fun feel, in an odd sort of way. With lyrics clearly inspired by 1970s horror film "The Exorcist", "Exosist" is the second track and is definitely the heaviest song TCST have released so far and sounds the most different to all their other songs. It was written by Zull, rather than Peggy (who writes the more bouncy, Halloween-sounding tracks), and the difference in their writing styles is really obvious, but both styles suit the band. The song works really well within the CD and shows a different side to the band. Jack’s vocals are more powerful than usual on "Exosist" and it enables him to show that he can do more than just "comical horror" vocals. "The Bedroom" ends with "A Clockwork World", which, in contrast to "Exosist", is a softer, slower song with gentler vocals. Parts of the song are practically acoustic and this adds to the melancholy feel along with Jack’s emotive vocals. The track is essentially a horror themed love song and it ends the CD really well. Overall "The Bedroom" shows that TCST are improving and growing as a band all the time and are capable of not only performing different types of music, but performing them well. 'The Candy Spooky Theater (ザ キャンディー スプーキー シアター) are a Japanese Visual Kei indies band, who debuted in 2005 with the single Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night Parade. The band is made up of three members: Jack Spooky (vocals), Zull (guitar), and Peggy (bass), and their music is driven by Tim Burton-like horror influences. Zull is also in a band called Monaural Curve. The band formed in February 2003, but prior to that Jack Spooky and Peggy were in a band together called Dororo (however, then Jack was known as Shati and Peggy was known as MeiLa (迷La)). The band later in 2005 started to release music, under their own label called Candy Makers (CM(S)). They debuted with the four tracked single Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night Parade, which was limited to 1,000 copies.
