And cover versions of old Thrash/Death Metal classics are my favourites. Because mostly the new versions have an a lot more powerful sound. And one of the best albums of its kind comes from the house VADER and is called "Future Of The Past". The Polish Death Metal lords deliver eight Extreme Metal hits in their very own and unique way. Close to the original, just an edge heavier it is a helluva joy to listen to killer songs like SODOM's "Outbreak Of Evil", POSSESSED's "Death Metal", DARK ANGEL's "Merciless Death", SLAYER's "Silent Scream" etc. time and time again. TERRORIZER even are featured with two hymns, but not enough with that, after the Thrash Metal history three untypical songs are delivered as well: "We Are The League" of English Punks ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE, "I.F.Y." by Dark Wavers DEPECHE MODE plus "Black Sabbath" by...well, who? The first two combos were graced with new lyrics, while "Black Sabbath" is treated with the courtesy they undoubtedly deserve. In the booklet we get all the lyrics and of course also the information who the originals are from.
