Prior to the March 1998 album ‘Towards The Frozen Stream’ for German label No Colours VORDVEN debuted with a December 1996 demo entitled ‘When The Wind Blew For The First Time’. However, the band’s first recordings were made as a duo of vocalist / guitarist Mika Packalen and guitarist Matti Kaasalainen in 1994. For these early sessions guests Rami Suontausta and NIGHTSIDE bassist Tommi Rantanen (a.k.a. Storm') were employed. For the 1996 demo VORDVEN pulled in drummer Pekka Koponen, of LEVIATAN and FAERGHAIL plus keyboard player Joni Virtaren. VORDVEN broadened their sound with the addition of female vocals courtesy of Piritta Repo in 1997. a limited edition vinyl run of ‘Towards The Frozen Stream’ was limited to 300 copies. Rantanen made a return too leaving NIGHTSIDE to become VORDVEN’s bassist. Another NIGHTSIDE man, drummer Beleth (a.k.a. Harri Hakala) on the drums. VORDVEN personnel hold a swathe of affiliations with other extreme Metal outfits, Harri Hakala having ties to ANNIHILATUS, DECEIVER, LUCIFERASE, ENERCHY, PILGRIMS FROM TARTARUS and RILKÁ, Matti Kaasalainen with AUTUMN'S RAIN, Mika Packalen with SCORNGRAIN whilst Tommi Rantanen is linked to ADRAMELECH, FOREVER WINTER, IMPIOUS HAVOC and UNCREATION'S DAWN. 专辑曲目: 1.
