Gladiator's secret weapon is its powerful OSC section which can be used to create sounds unlike any other synthesizer. In total there are 110 different oscillator types with more than 36,000 different spectra available. Every spectrum can be modified in real time. Groups of spectra can be morphed, producing lively shimmering sounds (with only one oscillator!). This gives you endless opportunities and a huge sonic range. You can make a fat sounds become thin, FM modulate it, waveshape, sync, crossfade, ringmod, filter... Gladiator can play up to 18 alias-free multi-oscillators per voice with 4x stereo unison and crystal clear sound quality. Filters The high-end stereo filters are reference quality and took years of scientific research to create. Tone2 is currently the only company which can offer such a large and excellent selection of filters. Gladiator 2 comes with 41 different filter types: Lowpass (6-40dB), Analog, Moog, Vocal, Phaser, Comb, EQ, FM, AM, Resample, Elliptic... Effects All effects are stereo and support up to 8x oversampling for the highest possible sound quality. The outstanding Reverb offers a warm sound similar to the Lexicon units. Gladiator supports Dolby Prologic II compatible surround encoding. 37 high-end quality effects are integrated into Gladiator including: Reverb, Delay, Pingpong, Flanger, Phaser, Chorus, Rotary, Surround pan, Super strings, Tube amp, Bitcrush, Waveshape, Talkbox... Modulation Gladiator comes with a powerful and flexible modulation section. The LFOs offer 22 different waveforms and can be synced to bpm. The Step LFO is inspired by old analogue step sequencers and can create rhythmic sequences (like a 303) or can be used as a trancegate. The analog modeled ADSFR envelopes are easy to adjust and sound punchy. The mod matrix offers very flexible routing between sources (LFOs, envelopes, Midi CCs...) and destinations (filters, mixers, effects...). Psychoacoustic processing IQM (Intelligent Microtuning) is a smart algorithm which makes the synthesizer sound fatter and cleaner by automatically detuning notes for lush chords. The innovative phase modulator module in the OSC section is based on the latest knowledge in phonetic science. It makes a digital spectrum sound warm, silky and analogue. A special post-processing algorithm in Gladiator simulates the way humans hear which results in deeper basses and more transparency.
