Anna is in a hotel in Berlin. A woman has been murdered in Room 40. The suspicion quickly arises that Anna may have been responsible for the murder. A detective comes to interrogate her and finds a mysterious message written on her bathroom mirror in German: "In der Teilung liegt die Lösung; folge der usik." What does it mean? Could the message refer to the old music box on the nightstand? Can Anna get to the bottom of it in time? Since Anna is the virtual hero in a computer game, she gets help from the player. He sits at his computer and guides Anna not only all over Berlin but also through time -- from East Berlin to West Berlin and from 2006 to 1961 and back to the significant year 1989.
