法国动画片《捉龙特攻队》，邀失亲儿童抢先观赏，片中描述三位失亲小朋友，携手合作打倒恶龙，不仅将西方神话中的恶龙与魔法世界搬上银幕，又加入东方武术和中国万里长城的概念。之前好莱坞动画《功夫熊猫》也以中国风为主题，美法两国动画不约而同都向中国取经。
两位导演吉翁艾维纳与亚瑟快克表示，他们一直著迷各种中国元素，尤其从徐克导演的《倩女幽魂》等片中受到极大啟发，因此他们作品里的中国风情，绝对与好莱坞的版本不同。
