《战神》是索尼公司制作发行的PS2动作游戏。故事背景设定在古希腊的神话时代，游戏主角是一名叫Kratos的斯巴达战士，由于得到希腊神灵的附体他成为了一名战无不胜的勇士，然而永无休止的战斗使得Kratos身心俱倦，同时血腥和暴力也在渐渐影响着自己的本性。上天的安排注定Kratos要同自己的命运展开一番较量……
《战神2》完全采用了前作的图像引擎，在简化游戏开发难度，缩短开发流程的同时游戏画面还是一如既往的优秀。故事讲述了主角Kratos在成为新的战神之后，奥林匹斯诸神对这位原本身份是人类的新神感觉颇为不满，最终剥夺了Kratos的神格。这也触怒了Kratos，他决定使用自己除掉战神艾瑞斯的强大能力向陷害他的神进行复仇。
