Born in Melun in 1982, she was raised under the sun of Villeneuve-on-Batch. Even as a child she would sing for her friends at school, so naturally she was later determined to make singing her profession. When the opportunity arose to enter the reality TV show ‘Popstars’, Chimène, encouraged by her sister, snatched it up eagerly. Her clear, touching voice sent shivers up and down the spines of everyone watching, and of course a career was born. After the show finished, Chimène was introduced to Rick Allison and the two started work on a single, which became a gold disk only a few days after its release. Of course it was then Rick who was also entrusted with the following album ‘Entre nous’, which has so far sold over 900,000 copies, as has her second album, ‘Dis-moi que tu m’aimes’, released in 2004. In 2005 Chimène undertook a huge tour in France, and she performed 5 concerts, all sold out, at the Olympia stadium in France. They were filmed and recorded, and put onto Chimène’s latest album, ‘Live à l’Olympia’.
