Born in Melun in 1982, she was raised under the sun of Villeneuve-on-Batch. Even as a child she would sing for her friends at school, so naturally she was later determined to make singing her profession. When the opportunity arose to enter the reality TV show ‘Popstars’, Chimène, encouraged by her sister, snatched it up eagerly. Her clear, touching voice sent shivers up and down the spines of everyone watching, and of course a career was born. After the show finished, Chimène was introduced to Rick Allison and the two started work on a single, which became a gold disk only a few days after its release.
