The choice of songs to perform at Woodstock was difficult to say the least. Artie wanted some new material that would capture the attention of the Woodstock feeling ~ Bert had just recorded a cover of Simon & Garfunkle's "America" for the second album that was better than the original; Paul Simon has agreed and states "this was the best cover of my music by any performer". Bert got an incredible standing ovation after his version of 'America'.
